Makino’s activities that contribute to society include the following.
In 2006, Makino launched a vocational boarding school in the Indian city of Bangalore.
Its students come from across India to learn to use machine tools and gain a general education while receiving a stipend.
Many of its graduates have found jobs at many India-based firms and contribute to local industrial development.
We made monetary contributions to the construction of a park, now called Makino Park, in Mason, Ohio, where Makino’s United States subsidiary is located.
We work to enrich our welfare programs, such as programs for maternity and childcare leave, teleworking and shortened working hours.
In addition, we have a program that supports the acquisition of language skills, covering all or part of the tuition, and other programs
We established an in-company university called “MAKINO Business Academy (MBA)” as a learning platform for our employees.
We offer not only in-house learning but learning courses and programs for basic and new technology from university or research institute.
And we also develop leaders of the next generation and entrepreneurs.
